I am just a bit upset because I have been looking into getting one or two female timors, now I guess I won’t be breeding them as I have not even seen this species for sale. I am guessing that is mostly because the sellers mislabel or misidentify the species. Do you know of anybody who is...
I have a year and a half old CB (the breeder might have lied but the animal is in great health) male (he showed me) Peacock or Auffenberg's monitor (Varanus auffenbergi). This is a dwarf’s monitor species that will reach about 23inches. He is currently about 18inches and 96 grams. He is ready to...
That is great, I was sold a CB Timor and ended up getting a WC auffenbergi. This breeder is going to get a nice email in a little bit. Thanks for spotting that out and letting me know.
Well that is rather funny. Since the breeder that sold me the animal didn’t really know what it was I presume it is in fact WC. Are these animals reproduced in captivity often, or as much as V. timorensis?
This animal was sold to me as a CB V. timorensis. V. timorensis and V.auffenbergi are very similar, but I doubt it is a Peacock (Auffenberg's Monitor) unless there is something obvious that I missed. If so please point it out, thank you.
I would probably say Timor's for the experience. But they do not make very good "pets" as they are rather flighty and hide when approached. Yet they are very easy to care for, are a "dwarf" species reaching about 2', common place in the trade, and you can pick up a healthy CB animal for less...
Here are some pictures of my year and a half old CB male Timor. Enjoy, because they are hardly ever seen. Not in the trade but in their terrarium, lol.
I am moving on from my leopard geckos to start new breeding projects. I have two Hypo Carrot Tail females, one is 47 grams the other is 57. The 57 gram female has so far produced one set of viable eggs and should be lying more very soon. The 47 gram has not been bred before but is ready to do...

I am selling most of my geckos so here is what I have left. I only have 4 crested geckos left. First a 40 g creamsicle dalmation female, she has not bred yet. Next a 40+ g yellow tiger female (not too sure of morph), she has produced a few offspring this year. Then I have two babies that are...
