    Beginner (not yet owner) here...

I would highly recommend Pangea Reptile, they have a great website and a forum which is geared towards crested geckos. Natural setups do work, I have 3 of them myself, however none of them house crested geckos. It works fine for adult geckos but babies and juvies need to be housed on paper...

This forum doesn't move very fast.

Remember this is a leopard gecko based forum so of course the other sections will move a bit slower. As Tara pointed out, most cresteds and "rhac" owners tend to use Pangea as it is "rhac" based. But the other sections do move fairly quickly when a question is posted. We have a good group of...

    Adult weights

Honestly it can vary on the gecko. I have one male that is 37g tailless, and another that is 33g tailless, and one more that is 42g. I have females ranging from 38g-48g. Some geckos are just more petite than others. Like Lazar is just simply a petite girl, but her male, Naruto, he is a petite...

    hello everyone! :)

No a medium kritter keeper, but the 40 watt will be far too hot for him. And do watch your temps with the 40 watt with either a digital or a mercury base thermometer, you want to have him around 68-70 at night, they do not need to be much higher than that, if you start pushing 78 degrees you...

    hello everyone! :)

60 watt will be too warm. If you want to give him a basking area go with a 15 watt bulb max. But I would highly suggest 2 things for you, one I would move your gecko into something smaller. Small geckos do better in smaller enclosures, babies often get lost in 10 gallon tanks. Having it in...

    Which one is better (terrarium)

It is nearly 12", which is fine. For these guys you need to worry more about height than anything else. But there does become a point where big is just too big and they have trouble finding food, which is why I said if you go with the larger you will need 2 feeding stations.

    Which one is better (terrarium)

The 27.6 x 11.8 x 23.6 would be best, that is about 33 gallons and is actually large enough to house 2 adult females. The other is about 42 gallons, you could honestly have 3 adult females in that. The problem with going large is that you will require several feeding stations to insure the gecko...

    Back in the crestie world

No cresteds are what they are, in that I mean harlies will always be harlies, flames will always be flames, ect. Some can grow more side pattern, like with extreme harlies they often will have a lot of pattern to start with and will gain more, but very rarely will a flame gain more pattern...

    Back in the crestie world

Ahh I love the second one, a nice reversal pinning, great crest structure on it. The third looks like it has nice crests also. The thing to remember with these guys, esp if youre going to get into breeding you need a balance of not only good color and markings, but also crests and the crest...
