Anyone ever seen this before? I've had this RES for 13 years and she has always shed her scutes one at a time until now. It's paper thin and super delicate - would like to find a way to preserve it but not sure what to use.... ideas?

Actually, I've heard this advice offered before as a good idea. A lot of people jump to the conclusion that you need to keep RI animals as dry as possible, and that's not always true. Sometimes the heat and steam from a shower/sauna will actually loosen up the congestion and ease the breathing...
