    Whole-shell scute shed?

Anyone ever seen this before? I've had this RES for 13 years and she has always shed her scutes one at a time until now. It's paper thin and super delicate - would like to find a way to preserve it but not sure what to use.... ideas? https://photos.app.goo.gl/PKZb1ZrFdQSK8aFJ6

Don't laugh at me, I got bitten...

Wow, this thread has opened my eyes to a question I never thought of before: Am I the only one (lol, at least the only female) who has never kissed, or even had an inclination to kiss her geckos? It's just not something I would ever think of doing for this (and other) reasons! Which leads me to...

    Help needed.

You might want to check about feeding avocado to cresties, as I've heard it can be toxic to some reptiles... Can anyone else confirm/deny that? I've always just avoided it with all my herps to be safe...

    Savannah has runny nose

Actually, I've heard this advice offered before as a good idea. A lot of people jump to the conclusion that you need to keep RI animals as dry as possible, and that's not always true. Sometimes the heat and steam from a shower/sauna will actually loosen up the congestion and ease the breathing...

    MY FIRST CRESTED

I agree with James or Melissa (darkridder) about the crests and the flame morph, but regardless, that's a very nice looking gecko! Congrats!

    Does calci-sand harm a gecko?

Okay, I would just like to propose a little test for all you out there with leos kept on any amount of sand - especially for those of you that say that your leos NEVER eat sand: Change your substrate over to paper towels for one week. And then make sure to come back and post how surprised you...

    Shut/Crusted eye??

When you go, ask about Vitamin A deficiencies! I actually think those turtle drops may contain Vit A, which could be a good thing!

Her eyes are not getting better

I'm glad it seems like she's doing a little better. Here is why I asked about Vitamin A - did your vet even mention it? Cause: Lack of appropriate levels of Vitamin A in the diet. Why Vitamin A is Important: Vitamin A is a fat soluble vitamin that is an essential part of the diet. It is...

Her eyes are not getting better

Could it possibly be a Vitamin A deficiency? I've heard of that causing eye problems occasionally.....

    COSTUMES!!!!!!

Ha ha! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who does that! We had some teenagers show up at our door - all 16 and up, with no costumes, no nothin. I told them we were fresh out and that they should be ashamed of themselves. Luckily, we didn't have a pumpkin outside cause I have a feeling it...
