I have used sand... never calci sand because they are more likely to eat it... always washed out play sand and fed in a dish so there is no "missing and hitting sand" and i never see sand in poos as I check everytime. I however do not recommend it necessarily. I also done this before I "knew"...
My AFT will only eat crickets as well. AFT's are actually pickier eaters compared to Leos. Also depends on what it was being brought up on I have noticed that AFT's tend to "stick with what they know" I could not get her to eat for 2 weeks (mealworms cause thats what I had for my leos) and as...
Great pic! They love to burrow in that Coco-fiber! Mine does it all the time! I had to get a water dish that sat higher up and put a stone that she can climb on to get to it cause as soon as I clean her tank she starts burrowing and filled her water dish up with Eco Earth! lol
Gorgeous little guy! Congrats! Im sure you will love him. I got mine already full grown and I love her she is tame and my buddy she hangs out and watches TV with me! Good luck and keep us updated!
Lol I honestly do not think I could choose between the two... Fatty is much more docile and shy then a Leo and less morphs out there. There are some great ones that I have found but extremely expensive! Where as leos are more common, more varieties and more active! I like the diversity between...
Congrats I just got my first AFT a month ago and fell in love! Her previous owner also thought she was a male and wanted to know how I new her tail was regen lol... Some people amaze me but it seems now our fatties are in better hands!
I am have a Leo and an AFT and I love them both.. My Leo is definitely more active than the AFT. My Leo is about 1yr old and my AFT is 2 1/2yr old but I just got her a couple weeks ago and we are pals. She mellow and will ride around on my shoulder! I love it! Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do!
