Just a little update.... my little guy is doing great. I'm not sure what was happening to his face last week but it looks all cleared up now. He's in shead now so I'm hoping new fresh skin looks perfect after he's finished. I'll post pics when he's done. Just wanted to say thank you for...
I think he's good. The discoloration in the pic is iodine. This little guy is so active and so easy to handle. The inside of his mouth looks great and now the outside is looking so much better.
Thank you, I am too. The spot on his face seems to be getting smaller and part of the crusty scab came off today. I cleaned it up and he still took food after so I think we're on the right track. I'm taking pics every few days to see the progress. I think he's going to be OK.
He's eating really good and don't seem bothered at all with me cleaning that spot on his face. He's thermo regulating and acting totally normal. I think I caught the problem before it got out of hand. I live in rural wv so it takes time to see a vet that deals with exotics so I'm praying me...
My husband who's eyes are better than mind says it kinda looks more like a scab now so hopefully whatever the problem is is something simple. I'm not sure what the little gut went through before given to me but he's so small and that alone worries me.
I cleaned it up with some peroxide on a q tip. It actually looks better today than it did 3 days ago and the inside of his mouth looks really good so I'll keep an eye on it and clean it up twice a day and see where we're at in a few days. I'm going to go ahead and reach out to my vet just to...
Does this look like a shedding issue? The person that gave him to me was struggling with his humidity and didn't have a humid hide. So I'm hoping this is from him rubbing his face on cork to get the shed off or pulling the skin off before it was unstuck.
My female fat tailed gecko hasn't eaten in 2 months. She's still healthy and plump but she did this around this time last year as well so I'm not freaking out this time. Although there are bugs in her tank and I noticed a tiny poop the other day so she might be coming back around. Still...
Thank you. I kinda thought that too. I read that you provide uvb when ur breeding them.which made me wonder why you wouldn't provide at least a shade dwelling uvb all the time then? I wasn't planning on a new gecko but I'm so glad this little one landed in my care. I just want to make sure...
Does anyone know the uvb requirements for a west indian leopard gecko? It's hard to find actual info for my new little baby that was gifted to me today.
