We did a couple of soaks today and think her toes are fine now. Thanks for all the help, suggestions and encouragement. I hope we never have to do that again. ;-)
We tried with a water bottle and got s little off but she does not like it. She is not thrashing or anything crazy but I don't want to make her upset to the point that she drops her tail (how upset would that be?)
I will attach pictures of what we believe is stuck shed on her toes.
My Leo has some shed stuck on her toes. I've read many post that say a lukewarm bath for 15 minutes but my girl starts climbing the walls right away. We have tried warming the water, cooling the water and everything. no luck.
I Saw post about using Qtips to wet the toes. She will put up with...
Hi,
In January I will be heading out of town for 10 days. My gecko will be boarded at the vet but I do not have anyone to check on my mealworm and darkling beetles and I need advice. Yes, I am planning early b/c I love the little bugs!
My current routing is likely a bit overkill but...
We change out the reptile carpet weekly when we update the cage. I was wondering, since we change it weekly, could we use other materials besides reptile carpet?
I know there is no reason to change the geckos room weekly but she is happy (based on feeding and behavior) when we do. We generally...
When you use tile, do you have a single piece cut to the size of your terrarium or do you lay several in it. If several, do worms or crickets (or gecko toes) ever get caught between the tiles?
Ok, I've become excited by the playpen idea for enrichment. Do you think it would be helpful to have a heat mat in it? When my little gecko is out she often "pancakes" or flattens out on us to warm (or this is what I think she is doing).
I have tons of stairs - what a great idea! My daughter asked about putting up a tent in the spare room with lots of safe climbing options and different textures for her. If we try it this weekend I'll post how it goes.
It is interesting that yours does not like the change. We change at least something every week - but I am new to this so maybe I am wrong. I found this article really interesting:

Is it normal for a leopard gecko to dislike bad weather/loud storms? Suggestions for helping calming? We had bad storms in my area yesterday and my Leo acted stressed. He was glass surfing, pacing and would not eat. Is this normal and what can I do to help ease the stress.
Has anyone considered using a portable playpen (fully enclosed like the one linked below) for temporary housing while cleaning a terrarium?
Also, my gecko likes to investigate and go anywhere possible so I'm looking for more options to allow additional safe spaces for changing up the...
