Oh man I LOVE Dexter, which is why I named three of my geckos after characters (Dex, Rita, and Lila). We don't get showtime either, but we download the seasons and then buy the show when it comes out because it's just one of those series I want to own.

New photos! I covered the thing in grout and then several layers of white paint. I'm actually rethinking the color at this point... I think it might paint it in a more natural color, like a stone tan or something like that. I don't know, I'm just going to leave it as is for now while I think...

No, don't ruin your beautiful enclosure with paper. Yea, pebbles would be good. I use river pebbles for some of my geckos. You could also look into something called Ecoearth (it's basically dirt-looking stuff that's made of coconuts), it looks like nice brown earth so it still looks natural...

Erik, I don't know what to say about your substrate, I've never seen it before. I tend to think it might be a little risky, just because they are small hard balls. I doubt your geckos will eat any of them, but if they do it seems like it would be harder to pass than a super ultra-fine sand...

Same! Mine are the same way -exposed to sounds all the time, just as my dog has been. And all the animals will sleep right through loud techno without an issue.

Depends on the gecko. But I do like to take them out if they're walking around. I have two or three that are ultra sociable and those will get picked up several times a week.
