The color of that sally makes it look like a grotto salamander ( Typhlotriton spelaeus ).
Really cool that its actually a redback, there are many different phases with these guys. I've seen some that where hypo'd out, pretty amazing lil creatures.

Depending on the size of the snake, for instance if its a hatchling or a juvenile, you'd want to get something like a 20 gal. tank, you dont want to get something too large for the snake, it tends to stress them they like to feel secure. once it gets larger I'd say a 30 long would do just nice...
