20 gallon fish tank for a Leopard Gecko.

So my mom says we are getting a 20 gallon fish tank. And Josh's frogs says they sell their Geckos at 4 weeks old. I can't convince my mom to get a 10 and a 20 so would a 20 gallon be okay if I maybe make it smaller or something? What is your advice.

A 20 should be fine. If you're worried about it, you can always get a piece of plexiglass and block off part of the tank, but as long as you put the food and water near the warm hide so the gecko can find it when it goes out, it shouldn't be a problem even when using a full 20 gallon.

Okay thank you so much! I would love to get an exoterra but they are super expensive.
