I have a baby leopard gecko who used to be housed with around 12 other geckos. He is alone now In a 15 gallon tank. He is skittish and doesnt leave his hide much. Would he be more comfortable with anther gecko?

Probably not. They are really solitary animals, not social animals like dogs. He's skittish because he's still getting used to the new environment. Baby geckos hide most of the time, which saves their lives in the wild. When it was housed with all those other geckos, there probably wasn't room for all of them to hide in a way that felt secure so more of them were "out and about". Give it some time and your gecko will acclimate.

Alone is best. A 15 gallon tank might be a bit big for a hatchling but even so, most of them tend to be pretty nervous and hide most of the time until they get a bit bigger.
