Australian Velvet Gecko Skin Problems

Dear forum users,

I am a new licensed owner of two beautiful Australian Velvet Geckos.
I am not sure either are doing 100%, however one especially does not look very well.
I have attached some photos for your reference.

His skin is not in a good way and it has been like that for at least 2 weeks now.
I am unsure how to explain it besides very "scabby" and dry. I have also noticed him lose weight.

The other is also struggling to shed his skin completely, although his skin looks as it should and he is a much healthier weight.

I appreciate any feedback or advice.

Sincerely,
Grant

It looks as if she had a bad shed. This could be a 1-time thing, she could have chronic problems shedding, or it could be a sign of poor health. You can help her by peeling off the stuck shed. Make sure that her humidity requirements are being met (I don't keep these geckos, so I don't know what they need). It certainly wouldn't hurt to make a vet visit for her as long as you can take her to a reptile vet. If the 2 geckos are in the same enclosure, make sure that no bullying is going on.
