OK. I know its not good to ask for a blanket statement for what is the best supplement out there. But hey, rules are made to be broken. I think I might be dealing with a Vitamin A deficiency with my colony. I talked about it here...

So, let me ask those with perfect shedding geckos. What do you use? Any scientific reasoning for the logic behind your choice would be appreciated as well.

I do know that I used to gut load with Fluker's High Calcium diet AND carrots (which I was thinking was for moisture). I'm not sure where I got this advice, but I think it might have been more than providing the mealworms moisture. It might have been 1.5-2 years ago that I stopped putting carrots in the gutload.

It's my understanding that carrots are high in vitamin A, so that may have been providing your geckos with the vitamin A they weren't getting from your calcium supplement, and when you stopped, that eliminated that source and resulted in a deficiency.

Sorry to respond to both your threads. Just came to mind when you said that.
