Can I keep a leopard gecko in a storage bin? I've seen some pictures but not a lot of info. I have extras from hamsters I've had. I prefer to use heating pads over lamps. Would it melt it

If you have a bin that approximates the size of a 20 gallon (12x30" floor area) then you can do that. To use a heating pad, which is the best choice, you'll need a thermostat to keep the temperature in the low 90's (which will be oK for the bin) and you'll need to put a few little shims under the bin corners to raise it off the ground about 1/4" to vent the heat. People use racks all the time which are essentially a bunch of bins, and they use heat pads or cable

Ok good. I have a pacman frog and hamsters in the same room so I dont keep that room too hot (around 75⁰F) so I kinda rely on heating pads a good bit

My geckos are in my living room and in the winter the ambient temperature is probably in the mid to high 60's and everyone is fine.
