Clean up?

Hello All,

How do you clean up your gecko enclosure? I want to grow real plants into the enclosure, but I am worry it will be very hard to clean up.:eek:

Please help

In my opinion you have 2 choices:
--put potted plants in the enclosure and remove them to clean
--use a soil type substrate like eco-earth with a drainage layer, plant directly into the "soil", get isopods to clean up the feces and never clean the cage. I have enclosures set up this way (mostly for day geckos and Rhacs, but one leo enclosure) that haven't been "cleaned" for up to 7 years and still look and smell good.

7 years!!!!! this is amazing! Don't you have the problem that they poo on the glass? do you take the gecko out when you cleaning?
