Cleaning Wooden Half logs?

Hey I have two of those half logs that you buy that the best store and I was wondering how exactly do you clean/sanitize them? Soak, bake.. ?

Use your imagination
or just try some water and soap(or whatever you have). Make sure you've washed away the soap and dry it fast to keep the wood from taking too much moisture.

I would soak it in boiling water.

boiling water works but sometimes i prefer diluted rubbing alcohol. alcohol eventually evaporates / is easy to clean.

I do "the works" for any new wood - scrub really well with soap and water, rinse well, then bake in the oven.

if its "dirty" (poo on it) hot water and a rag.
for parasite worries i put them in a gallon zip lock and put it in the freezer for 2 weeks
