[Herp Lover]

I was out looking for herps in my area and I stepped on a baby rattlesnake and it bit my pants. My heart was pounding so hard. I'm glad I always were long jeans.

Not for the snake.

What kind of rattler? What kind of shape was it in afterwards? I'm glad nobody was envenomated yet I can't help but feel it was the snake who was having a bad day.

hmm. and a helleri, most likely. that's ungood.

I am not really sure on what type of rattlesnake it was but I'm pretty sure it was fine because I felt it when I stepped on it so I jumped back pretty fast and it hid in a nearby bush. I don't think that I harmed it but I felt pretty bad for stepping on it.

I was looking back at my mom when I was walking forward in tall grass so I didn't see it and it did not make any noise until my foot was a few inches above it. I have only seen a rattler once before in my area about 4 years back so I was really surprised about seeing this one.
