Crested gecko upgrade

Hey everyone , I have my 12 gram crested gecko in a 12x12x18 enclosure and it’s fully bioactive. My concern is what to do with her tank when I upgrade her to a 18x18x24? I don’t want to rip the old bioactive tank apart with the concern of ruining the ecosystem in the tank but as anyone who does bioactive knows it takes time and the cleanup crew are expensive. I’ve narrowed it down to two options being take the substrate (with the isopods and springtails) and transfer it with more substrate into the new upgrade (when the time comes) or leave the tank how it is and completely set up a new tank and maybe sell the old tank and fully bioactive and working or put another animal in it ? Which I worry maybe that would be cross contamination ? Any help would be awesome . I was thinking mourning geckos would do amazing in my cresties enclousure but I know they produce a lot of babies and was worried about overpopulation . Just trying to plan for the future when I need to upgrade my baby . (The tank looks a little sparse my plants need to grow into the tank but he/she loves hiding in the pathos . I haven’t seen any bulge or pores or shiny scales so I’m assuming my baby is a female and growing very fast ! Check out Sphaerodactylus geckos (joshsfrogs.com). They are micro sized geckos (2-3" max as adults) and very fun to watch.
