"Dust"/Possible Infection on Tail

Hello! I recently took my leopard gecko, Calypso, to the vet and they noticed that Calypso had a strange substance on her tail that looked like dust. It is not calcium dust or substrate, and it did not come off after several soaks over the past week. She thought it had the possibility of being a fungal infection, and provided me with antibiotics to give Calypso just in case. I have been giving her the antibiotics as directed, and the "dust" has not gone away, and I'm still not 100% what it is. Has anyone else had a similar issue, or can identify what's wrong with her tail?

She doesn't seem to have any pain in her tail, and I don't believe it's causing her any discomfort. If anything, I'm just curious as to what is might be or if there's anything I can/should do about it.

It looks to me like the very early stages of getting ready to shed. I'm not saying that's what it is; my geckos sometimes look like that before a slow to arrive shed.
