Hi, a long time lizard fan, I was excited to find this guy patrolling the back fence of my new home in Irvine, CA. About 3" long including tail. Not a native species according to California Herps. But since it's just a baby, it looks like some feral geckos are breeding here. Any idea what kind it is? My theory is someone's preggo pet escaped.

I would agree based on the size someone is breeding for sure. Like you I bet it's a escape pet. Most of those don't make it but having studied the way other species escape and damage the local eco system I hope I'm wrong.

Sorry I can't help ID him. But I would be surprised if no one here could.
