Hey everyone,

New here and am just wondering how much people know in general about the heritability of morphs or color variations in gargoyles?
Getting a free female from a member of the local herp club and I'm planning on pairing her up with my (striped) male.
Just wondering if there's any good articles or readings on this subject.

Also appreciated any feedback on the new acquisition! (I was only provided with a picture of her fired down0

As far as I know all "morphs" in cresteds and gargs are line bred. Pairing two animals that look similar will give you a better shot of getting a baby that looks like them but not always.

See if you can get hold of a copy of the new garg book: Gargoyle Geckos by Philippe de Vosjoli, Allen Repashy and Frank Fast (ISBN# 978-0-9742971-5-6). They are somewhat less line bred than I thought and can also be temp sexed to an extent!
