Good egg going moldy?

I was expecting an egg to hatch this weekend but it seems like its starting to grow mold. This egg was laid on 3-28-09, incubated at 81 degrees and started to dent in a bit on thursday. I candled it and clearly saw a dark mass and the rest of egg looked clear so i figured it was going to hatch sometime this weekend but by saturday it had started to get a small fuzzy patch. Is it still good? Is there anything i can do?

Eggs start to dent in right before they hatch. I would say just to leave it and see what happens, it might be fine if it's not horribly molded over. Check that your humidity isn't too high, because that might be it.

well, it looked pretty bad so i decided to rip open the egg and found a fully formed mack snow

what would cause it to die when it was so close to hatching?
