Hard time eating

Hi! My leopard gecko is having a really hard time eating. We thought he just wasn’t hungry but now I can tell he is. He goes after the worm/cricket and slightly opens his mouth but can’t get them in it seems. I thought it may be an eyesight problem but he can definitely see them bc he chases them, tries to pick them up about 3-4 times and gives up. Any ideas?
