I've just recently adopted a very young baby leopard gecko (I'm guessing a hatchling) from a local pet store and noticed that his back legs seemed wobbly and oddly shaped and he walked funny on them. I've just recently lost my leo to MBD that he had developed while be cared for by a different pet store that I bought him from and was absolutely traumatized by it...I don't think I can deal with going through that again. This baby's legs seem bowed out and looks like he is missing toes on his right foot probably due to retained shed...my boyfriend bought this baby for me and surprised me with him so he didn't recognize the symptoms but when I saw him I became immediately worried that this baby was born with MBD due to lack of calcium in the egg...? This is the only picture I have of him right now but I will try to get more and get a video of him walking...
Like I said I've only had him for like 2 days but I've been dusting his crickets with calcium with D3 every feeding so far and he has a dish of 100% pure calcium in his tank...his tank is kept at around 88-92 degree on the warm side and around 78-80 degrees on the cool side. He has an undertank heater on his warm side as well with a cool hide, a moist/humid hide, and a warm hide.
