Hello my name is Matt. My family and I are new gecko owners. We’ve had Spots for about four months now. My 8yo daughter and I were shopping for a new Pac-Man frog after her frog died. She looked at a leopard gecko and fell in love immediately. She is really good about taking care of him. She enjoys cleaning his cage, holding him, and feeding him. He has grown quite fast since we brought him home. Probably more than double in size. Hoping to learn more about geckos here and sharing some of our highlights.

Aww! Leos are the best. She can read up on setting up a good tank for it, if she hasn’t already. It’s not necessarily complicated but the temperatures and hides are very important and there is some bad info out there- especially at pet stores. Remember to dust most or all of the feeder insects with a multi vit/calcium supplement! I believe it’s all of the feeders when leos are still that young. Find a good reptile vet too. Hope I’m not going overboard..
