so it's been a week and her tail looks like this now but in the other pictures thats how it looked like before. ive been applying antibitoic ointment because I was told to but i cant tell if its getting worse or if its healing. Does anyone know what this is?? The tip of one of her toes are black too which I assume is from shedding but I dont know how to fix it. You can see that the tip of her tail is blackened too. On the bottom it also looks like her tail got scraped/was bleeding, so I am so confused. please help ahhhh

It's hard to know for sure and I assume some of the shiny look is from the antibiotic ointment? Here are some possibilities:
--the gecko got a tail wound from biting at the shed when it was happening and now every time it sheds it opens the wound again
--there was a piece of shed stuck on the tail and it constricted the tip so it's starting to dry up
--there is a hot spot on the warm side (especially if you're not using a thermostat) and there is a burn on the tail

If the problem starts moving up the tail, it's an infection and a vet visit would be a good idea. Otherwise, it's likely that the tip of the tail will dry up and eventually fall off and a new tail tip will regenerate.
