Hemipene Prolapse

I just bred one of my Gecko pairs, and this guy had a bit of a prolapse when I separated them after breeding. The breeding itself happened pretty normal.
His hemipenes went back in no problem.
I'm new to breeding so I was just wondering if that was something normal, and do I need to worry about it coming back out? 20220425_223032.jpg

If it comes out a little after breeding and then goes back in, there's nothing to worry about. If it stays out, make up a solution of very thick sugar water or karo syrup or Preparation H for humans and soak that area. It doesn't look so bad in the picture. If the soaking doesn't get it back in, call a vet right away.

He's doing great now, but thanks for the reply!
I've been studying up on breeding Geckos for a while now, but nobody ever mentioned that would happen.
Freaked me out for a minute
