My leopard gecko has been hiding in his humid hide for about 4 days now. I thought maybe he is prepping for a shed, but last time he was only in the hide foe 2 days. He only comes out around the time we feed him, and to poop. His temp and humidity levels are normal. I'm not sure what his deal is other then I moved him to my living room on Monday!? It's not bright, because I shut the blinds for him and it's not loud and I don't have any other animals in our home. He doesn't seem sick.

If he likes hanging out in his hide that's a good thing! That means you made it comfortable and inviting in there for him! I don't see a downside here except that you don't get to see him as much

Being in a very wet environment, like if you were misting the cage every day, could cause problems. Staying in the humid hide is not a problem.
