I have recently just gotten a leopard gecko and i’m having troubles maintaining the humidity level. It is constantly going up whenever i turn off the heat lamp and leave the under tank heater on. I have gotten a smaller water dish, got a dehumidifier outside his terrarium, and have increased airflow to his cage and my room. I don’t know what else to do because every time the humidity gets too high i take out the water dish and turn on the heat lamp and the humidity will temporarily go down. Please help i just want to make sure my gecko stays comfortable.

As long as you're not spraying the cage, I don't think there's much of an issue with the humidity. I'm guessing that leopard geckos in the wild spend a fair amount of their time in more humid micro climates (though I don't know for sure).
