Is it necessary to have a night light?

Hello everyone, my geckos are doing good. Do I really need to use the above? Temperature in my apt is 74. I have heat pad with thermostat set at 82.thats all I need to know for now. Happy blessed holidays

Best temperature for the heat pad is closer to 90. I don't use any lights for my leopard geckos except for the lights in the room and the sunlight coming through the window. I think many people use too much heat and get their leopard geckos too hot.

I've always heard that a temperature drop is beneficial for them at night, as long as it does not drop below 60 or so.
