Is there an edible adhesive for attaching crickets or worms to a stick?

I'm looking for an edible adhesive for attaching crickets or worms to a stick.
Rather than harming a cricket or a worm with tweezers or pincers, I'd rather use some kind of adhesive at the end of a stick to attach the feed.
Could I use a flour or cornstarch mixture for that purpose? Maybe a double-sided sticky tape?

Well, you could use honey. However, consider that whatever adhesive you use, the cricket is going to squirm to get away and will probably be harmed no matter what it is. I don't see that holding its body with tongs or tweezers will do more harm than that, and then consider the cricket's eventual fate anyway
