I'm rather new to the reptile community, and i want to be 100% sure about everything before getting a leopard gecko.

I know they need calcium, D3 and multivitamins. But if they're getting D3 from the powder i sprinkle on the food, do they also need UVB lights? Isn't UVB just another source of D3.Please educate me.

If UVB is still needed, what uvb light would be best for an 80 gallon tank? (Yes i know that's very big for a leopard gecko, that's why i can't find any info on it.)

(sorry for any grammatical errors or typos, english is my second language)
(and also sorry if i posted this in the wrong place, i'm very new to this forum)

I don't feel that UVB is necessary for a leopard gecko if they're getting supplements. I don't even provide lights for my many leopard gecko cages, They are in a room where they can tell when it's daytime and when it's nighttime.
