Leopard gecko activity

Hello! I have a leopard gecko who is about 7-8 months old now :) he’s healthy and eats well. He just doesn’t seem to be very active, his tank is regulated nicely. But I did just move him into a new one, he was active when I had first got him but as time went on I noticed he just likes to chill in his hideouts. Which is fine, as there seems to be nothing wrong with him health wise. Is this normal? I read somewhere that it means he is just healthy and doesn’t feel the need to hunt for his food anymore, and that it could just be who he is as a gecko.

They often explore a lot in a new environment and then many of them get very lazy. This is pretty normal.
