Leopard Gecko stays in Humid Hide

My leopard gecko only uses his humid hide. He used to alternate between his hot and cold hides but since I got him a humid hide, that's the only hide he uses. I don't think he's shedding and the humidity of my terrarium is quite high already: around 50%. If you can tell me why he (or she, I'm not sure) is doing that, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Mine go through phases where they prefer different hides. Humid hide is often a favorite though. Just double check floor temps otherwise it sounds like my crew.

I think they just like new things sometimes. Whenever I introduce a new hide to my geckos, they almost always want to hang out there the most for a little while (including moist hides).

Yeah, I don't think temperature is the problem because the temperature is only 85 degrees Fahrenheit on the hot side. Dehydration might be an issue because I have never seen him drink water from his water bowl. Maybe he never discovered its purpose and thought it was a random decoration
