Hi! My little leopard gecko is about half a year old, he sucks at eating. As in he misses a lot when he tries to grab the mealworms, and when he gets one in his mouth its a 50/50 chance if it'll escape from his grasp. idk what to do because I'm trying to keep him from getting malnourished but he's literally failing at eating the food, and when one escapes from him he doesn't chase it, he lets it run away. What should I do? ik they can only eat live food so this is very troubling.

5 days is nothing really they can go a month without eating if they got a fat tail. try getting something else to feed him. crickets most of the time do the job. or dubia roaches

I did once sell a gecko to someone who complained to me that the gecko wasn't eating. I bring my juveniles up on mealworms so that's what this person was feeding it. I recommended she try crickets and that solved the problem. I'm not saying that this is the problem here, but it's worth a try.
