Light/heat

My basking light died this morning and I have to go buy a new one. But that means either ordering online or driving a little ways to buy one. I have this set up right now and wanted to see if this would be okay for the time being until I can get something. I have a 60w night time heat light and a fluorescent 13 watt UVB... I still have her heatpad on and right now daytime hot side says 88°. Thank you

Are you talking about a leopard gecko? If so, in my opinion they don't really need basking lights at all so a few days without one isn't going to hurt. If you're talking about a diurnal reptile that basks, like a bearded dragon, it should also be OK for a few days.

Yes my leo. I had read somewhere that a baking light was not really needed. Mostly just for day/night schedule. But you read so many different things so I just left it to auto on and off daily. I did get a new light yesterday so she is back to routine. Thank you for your reply. Question though what is your take on the proper temps for day/ night .. hot side/cool side? I am following what I had read the most.... Night hot side is 75 to 80.. usually closer to 75 though as winter sets in with out the basking light on. And day hot side between 85 and 95. My auto temp thing for my heat pad should be in soon which will allow for digital setup for hot cool temps...

I go by ground temperature on the hot side (which is what I assume you mean by "between 85 and 95"). I aim for a ground temperature in the low 90's. As long as the ambient temperature in my house is tolerable for humans , I feel it's fine for leopard geckos. If they're cold, they can be in their warm hide.
