Hi Everyone,

I am Christina and here's my gecko, Lemmy! He is 2 y/o male Mandarine Sunburst Tangerine and I received him about a month ago! He eats very well and is very social/explorative. We have introduced our hand to him several times and he is very eager to climb on us, but as he is our first gecko we get quite nervous handling him outside of the tank. Any advice on how to handle a gecko confidently so that he also doesn't get scared? Thanks!!

Cute gecko! He looks pretty orange. For starters, handle him over the enclosure so if he gets scared and jumps, he'll be back in his cage. Consider getting a box or other less formal enclosure (someone I know uses a wading pool) for him to "play" in. The couch is another good option. Geckos often like to "explore" behind the couch cushions.
