Moist hide question

Hi,

Our baby leopard gecko’s skin has turned a whiteish colour which from whet I can see means he’s ready to shed. I bought the moss & have placed some in his favourite hide which is on the warm side however now he won’t go in it!
He has 3 hides but only ever uses the one on the warm side so I thought it was the best to put the moss in for him.
Is this right?

If he's never had moss before, he may be wary of it. Make sure there's plenty of room for him to get in without having to burrow through it.

Not all geckos go into their moist hide when they shed. See how she does when she does it the way she wants.

Aside from the moss, the fact that he only uses the warm hide may mean the tank is a tad bit too cold. You might want to check up on that. Moist hides seem to work better for me if it's on the cool side.
