Moldy egg

Hello!
My boyfriend and I breed leopard geckos, he really handles most of it. We recently noticed one of our eggs had some white fuzz on it. We carefully cleaned it off and separated that egg from the others. Today again we noticed mold and reddish tint and veins where the mold was. Is it possible the egg is not fertile or the embryo has died? Some articles have said to use athletes foot. Any ideas? Attached is a photo of the mold and then after cleaning the mold off. It seems a bitter harder in this spot as well,

I'm a big fan of leaving eggs alone and letting them do what they do. The mold may be a sign that the egg is no good, but you may as well leave it alone and see what happens.
