More Subsrate Questions

Hello, again!
I am deciding which substrate to get for when I get my Leo. (making progress with convincing my dad!!) Ceramic tile? Vinyl flooring? Eco earth? Other soil? Does an under tank heat source effect the tile or vinyl? Which type of soil is safe? Where can I buy these? Does anyone have any product recommendations?

Most people would not put a juvenile leopard gecko on soil. Some people have had bad experience with Eco earth, though I had 3 geckos on eco earth for 5 years and it was never a problem. I use ceramic tile which I get from a home improvement store. It works well with the heat mat. In general, what you want is something durable that doesn't have any type of glue on the back side that the heat mat could cause to release fumes.
