My large male gecko ate a mouth sized piece of styrofoam

..yeah, he bit the styrofoam edge of a dish and took a chunk right out of it, i was sure he would just spit it out, but no.

i admit this is a first for me.
btw, he's about 95g, this is a piece about 1/2" x 3/8ths , an oblong half oval shape..


anyone ever have a gecko pass this stuff?

i am watching,
his cage is cleaned, if he doesn't show me any sign soon I will be taking him to the vet , they know me there, and i can get in quick,

he's a tough bugger...

thanks, he seems ok, but hasn't passed it yet, and he had an empty stomach..

I tried to give him some olive oil and got bit a few times,
finally used the 'shirt method' my parents use for their parrots,

attached is a pic with the chunk he took out of it...

He swallowed the entire piece??? OMG! Well, styrofoam is not digestable. And actually, there's nothing you can do for him at home. I would take him to the vet ASAP, as styrofoam expands with stomach acids & can lodge in the intestines easily. Don't wanna scare you, but it's kind of considered an emergency...keep us posted.
