Needing to [perhaps] divest some of our reptiles, but unsure how to do same.

Hi! I am a reptile 'mom' by fruition. My son was obsessed a few years ago, and we now have 8 Leopards, 2 Crested, 2 Day Geckos, 2 Axolotls, an unidentified 'sunshine' gecko and a Male Veiled Chameleon. Care has fallen to me, as he just doesn't care, and honestly - I'm tired of it. Their enclosures aren't getting cleaned, and feeding falls to me. What suggestions to downsize would you make? I don't want to advertise on Craig's List or something, as I don't want the little buggers hurt (some nasty peeps out there). I'm in the Tampa, Florida area. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

The best suggestion I have is to contact your local herp society (google for info), put up a sign at a reptile vet's office (www.arav.com to find a local reptile vet), see if a reptile pet store (not one of the big chains) wants them.
