Hi,
i had 4 eggs and one hatched roughly 3 wks ago. from what i can tell the gecko is not eathing. im keeping a few 1/4" crickets in the container with him and it doesn't seem interested. it seems very active colorful and healthy. it does not appear super boney atm. yet still the same amount of crickets remain in the cage, give or take 1... any advice would be appreciated

Do a trial of mealworms. It's possible that the crickets are too small and/or too fast for it. If it doesn't eat the mealworms, hold it and push a mealworm at its mouth. Hatchlings will usually bite something going towards the mouth. You may have to hand feed it for awhile.

they are leopard geckos btw. and mealworms seem quite large to them. ive put a few in their home, but, even the small mealworms are more than a mouthfull

I've had no problems feeding newly hatched geckos mealworms. I have even had 10 gram geckos eat super worms!
