Crested geckos are nocturnal so they don't need specific lighting. However, if they're in a dark room with no windows, they do need some kind of light to be able to tell day from night. Also, if you have plants in the enclosure the plants will need light.
The leo needs belly heat in the low 90's so it needs a heat mat. The crested gecko is comfortable at lower temperatures. I don't provide heat for any of my crested geckos. The CGD has calcium and vitamin D3 in it and I dust their crickets with Calcium and vitamin D3 so the cresties are covered for their nutritional needs and don't need UVB.
