New to geckos

Hey guys hows it going my name is Ranso and I’m from Pennsylvania, I’ve had my gecko for a few months now I got my gecko some time last summer I can’t remember exactly when. Now I’m going to be completely honest I’ve been a pretty irresponsible owner, by that I mean not feeding my gecko properly sometimes letting it last a few days with out eating just because of how caught up I was with everything going in my life. Now I have more time to my self and want to dedicate way more time to my gecko and making sure I keep it nice and healthy( I can’t remember if it’s a male or female) so I came on here to get as much help as I can to from now on make sure that I give my gecko a nice long and healthy life. Would any one be able to tell me if my gecko looks healthy or not and how often should I feed it, also what kind of leopard gecko is it ?

welcome! The pictures are a little blurry. It looks like a normal leopard gecko but since it has a little less black spotting, you could call it a high yellow (which just means that it has more yellow than usual). It may be a little skinny, but not terribly so. I feed my leopard geckos twice a week. They don't need to eat every day. The best way to make sure you're consistent is to pick the days you're going to feed it and make that part of your routine. I have a lot of geckos, so I have to be very set on a routine. I feed my leopard geckos Monday and Thursday nights. I feed the geckos that get fruit nectar Tuesday and Friday nights and I feed the geckos that are awake during the day Monday Wednesday and Friday mornings. It works for me.

I feed my younger gecko every day to every other day and i feed my adult every other day or every two days if she isn't hungry. Make sure to supplement your feeders as well. I'd also suggest feeding it all that it can eat at every feeding until you get its weight back up. Good luck!
