Night time light/temp

We have a 10 gallon tank for 1 leo. I read that I should allow Temps to drop around 75 for night time, however the red bulb still gives off a decent amount of heat.
So during the day I use a 50 watt basking bulb and at night a 50 watt red bulb. But by using the red bulb the temp stays the same 24 hours. It is usually around 92°.
Should I not use the red bulb at night to allow the tank to drop to about 72? That's what we keep our house temp at. I thought the idea is to mimic the dessert night. Any advice would be great.

Do you have a UTH? Leopard geckos need UTHs, not lights.

Red bulbs shouldn't be used at night because leopard geckos can see red light. Using a red light will disrupt their day/night cycle.

You don't need to drop the temperatures at night. Running a UTH 24/7 regulated by a thermostat or light dimmer so that the warm side floor surface temperature is 90 F is fine.
