Please help, Is my Golden Gecko sick??

I have a golden gecko that a few days ago I noticed he started getting these white spots. They are not going away and wonder if I need to get him to a vet. Please any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know anything about golden geckos, but there's a chance it's getting ready to shed. I have never heard of any gecko problem that involves white spots so I recommend watching it for a week or so to see what happens.
