Question about tail

Hey all,
I’ve had this little one for about 2 months now and haven’t had any issues but since his last 2 sheds his tail is super dry looking and changed to a more purpleish color? It’s been like that for a month now. I’m new to this so just making sure he’s healthy. He always has fresh water and has moist and warm hide. Any help or ideas are appreciated!

Your gecko may have stuck shed on its tail. Sometimes a gecko may miss some of the shed and it can become stuck, its common, however, If it is left on there it could cut off circulation and make the tail fall off. The best thing you can do is let your gecko soak in warm shallow water, wait for the old shed to loosen up and gently help it off the tail with a Qtip.

If you're talking about a dried look at the tip of the tail (which I don't see), then it could be a problem with stuck shed. If you mean that the whole tail is getting to be more of a purplish color, the gecko is a blizzard and they can change colors. I had a blizzard for years that ranged from purplish to gold to nearly orange.

You should soak it at least 3 times a month. I give a day every week to soak all my pets to keep them hydrated
