Rocks.....

I just bought some rough jasper and another really cool rock that looks like jasper with some druzy and maybe agate in it that I intended to put in Babamik's vivarium, but then I heard that some rocks can be toxic to crested geckos! I did not buy these from a pet store. I bought them from a local rock hound.

Any advice?

Thanks!

The crested gecko is not going to eat them and as far as I know, there is no substance leaking out of the rock so I think you're fine.

For planted vivariums, the suggestion is to only use varieties of rocks that won't leech minerals (granite, slate, quartz, solid jasper). Anything with bright colors, iron, metallic areas, or high pH like limestone should be avoided, as well as anything porous or crumbly.
