Using sticks and logs from outside

Can I use sticks and wood from my backyard to use in my Garg enclosure? If so any way I should disinfect them?

My mother cuts her own firewood so I get beautiful hardwood bark with sliver of wood attached. I use a semi stiff wire brush scrub them all down them bake at 150 for 30 min. Have been doing this since I started keeping Madagascar hissers with no problems.
