UTH on wood floor - safe? Need to raise tank?

Hello,

I am setting up a new 10 gallon tank that I will be placing on the floor. I attached the UTH to the bottom of it and it came with 4 little plastic beads to put on the tank bottom corners to raise the tank, but it only does so about 3 milimeters. Is having the heater 3 milimeters off of the wood floor safe or should I prop up the tank an inch or more on the sides? I don't want a fire (obviously). Thank you for your help.

Undertank heaters (UTH's) need air flow under them so they do not over heat. If the little 'bumpers' that come with the heaters do not raise the tank enough to get airflow under them, they probably should be raise a little higher.
